Just Dance allows multiple players to be on the same Nintendo Switch console. When a new controller is added, the avatar is random. If you want to customize your guest’s avatar using the Joy-Con, please follow these steps below.
Unfortunately for the Joy-Con, it’s not obvious how the avatar should be changed. Many people may go to the profile of the primary player in an attempt to change the guest avatar, but that does not work.

On the Joy-Con, press the up button or X to bring up the avatar selection menu.

To choose an avatar, use the joystick to move left or right.
Once you find the avatar you like, press the right button or A button to confirm.
Now your avatar has been changed successfully!
