Gameplay Overview

The home screen is situated at the lookout tower. Ryder and his pups surround the lookout tower with their vehicles. Each pup hosts a different educational activity. You may browse each activity as you swipe around the screen. What makes this game unique is all educational activities feature PAW Patrol characters.

Age Appropriateness

This game is intended for toddlers aged from 2 to 5. Toddlers are able to use their fingers on phones or tablets to tap, drag and drop to play the game. They can also listen to the PAW Patrol characters’ voices in-game to guide them throughout the game. Thus, this game’s mechanics are age appropriate. The game introduces letters, numbers, shapes, coloring and other topics that are appropriate for toddlers’ development.

This educational game helps children practice pronouncing letter sounds, recognize letter names, spelling words, counting numbers from 1-20, identify and trace shapes, practice coloring, groove to the music, and learn about different feelings, self-care skills, and basic life skills.

In this game, children have a chance to roleplay as part of the PAW Patrol team interacting with different characters from PAW Patrol. 

This game is designed to make learning fun and engaging by using PAW Patrol episode clips to provide context and meaning behind words and concepts.

This game helps children develop their problem-solving, social, emotional, creativity and fine motor skills.

Replayability

There are 8 different types of activities children can explore within the game. More contents are added over time with each update.

In the shapes and numbers activity, the level of difficulty increases as shapes and numbers are mixed together and out of order. There are no scores in the game. If players make mistakes, the parts just fall down. There are no penalties for wrong answers.

Children can play as many times as needed until they master all the topics. 

Overall Parent Experience

This is a single-player game. Other family members can’t join at the same time. With no ads and offline gameplay, parents can feel free to let your children play on their own.

This game is easy to pick up and play at any time anywhere. I’d recommend this game to any parents with kids between the age of 2 to 5, especially if they are PAW Patrol fans.
